Join us for a conversation about Wislawa Szymborska and the impact of the poet on society with local poets in Toronto. Participants include:

Tamara Trojanowska is a prof in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at U of T where she has been at the helm of the Polish Language and Literature Program since 1998. She is also an incoming Director of the Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies. 

Eva Stachniak is an award-winning, best-selling Canadian and Polish writer. Her latest historical novels, The Winter Palace and Empress of the Night were inspired by Catherine the Great.

Shirley Camia is a Toronto poet and writer of The Significance of Moths and Calliope. 

Robert Priest is a poet, novelist, singer/songwriter, young adult author, playwright and journalist.
